If you've read the plethora of press releases and articles on the subject in the past day day, you'd be hard pressed not to look at 2005 as the year of on-demand Spend Management.
Literally, I spent 15 minutes this morning scanning the headlines, and I found three mentions of on-demand in the Spend Management arena. First, I read Supply & Demand Chain Executive's 2005 Provider Pros to Know which featured an "On Demand" Evangelizers section. Next I saw press releases from Perfect and Mindflow.
While it's critical to separate marketing hype from reality, the degree of vendor and media push behind on-demand is accelerating. Big time.
