I traded emails last night with Lora Cecere of AMR Research, and was excited to learn that she will be publishing a report on "Third Generation Sourcing" in June.
On a similar note, I've heard a lot of discussion in the market about how companies are increasingly evaluating Spend Management initiatives in new ways. A number or organizations are starting to move beyond hard dollar cost savings as a means of measuring results. In fact, one industry luminary that I recently spoke with believes that leading Spend Management organizations will not be evaluated based on savings in the future, but on other more critical metrics.
