I'm excited to announce that Lisa Reisman has agreed to become a Spend Matters contributor. Lisa's editorial focus will be on Spend Management for small- and medium-sized organizations. Lisa is the co-founder and US Managing Director of Aptium Global, a firm that delivers direct materials cost reduction programs for small and medium-sized industrial companies. And as some of you already know, Lisa also happens to be my wife, so if you don't like what she has to say, tell me, and I'll make sure to pass along the criticism at the most opportune moment. You can read some of her past insights from Spend Matters hereand here.
Trust me, Lisa knows what she's talking about -- far more than me, I might add -- and her journalism degree and past writing experience makes her somewhat articulate as well. For those who don't know her personally, she's also the lead Spend Management practitioner on the home front, keeping me from a used Porsche 911 and curtailing my wine collecting habits. But in all seriousness, Lisa does know a thing or two about procurement and sourcing in the middle market. A few years back, Lisa decided to stop consulting to larger organizations and focus entirely on delivering Spend Management results to smaller ones. And she's got the battle scars to prove it. Stay tuned later this week, as she posts analysis, criticism, and observations on Aberdeen’s latest report on the middle market. Lisa will be contributing to Spend Matters on a periodic basis, most likely a couple of posts a month (just enough to take her reputation down a notch by being associated with this thing ...)
