I was excited to see that Industry Week picked up on the latest Aberdeen Report (scroll down for post and link) on the Middle Market. In their article, Industry Week quotes the study, noting that Middle Market companies should take "the following steps to improve sourcing: 1) Develop and enforce standard sourcing procedures company-wide; 2) Leverage commercial sourcing management automation; 3) Improve access to and quality and analysis of corporate spending; and 4) Enlist executive support for resources and policy changes." If you missed Lisa Reisman's critique of the Aberdeen study last week, you can read it here. In the coming weeks and months, Lisa will remain Spend Matter's trusty Middle Market correspondent and critic. If you'd like to see her examine any Middle Market Spend Management topics in particular, drop her a line (firstname.lastname@example.org) or post a comment.
