Jamie Bedard, Aberdeen's CEO, dropped me a line yesterday, letting me know that Aberdeen is in the process of bringing a number of new senior resources on board. And he also told me that Aberdeen "finished Q1 up significantly across all operational, financial and human resource metrics". In terms of the folks Jamie is bringing on board, Stephen Gold (formerly of Azerity and Digital markets), sounds like the most critical hire. He will be joining Aberdeen as President and CMO. In addition, Joe Basili will be joining the firm as Supply Management Research Director, and Russ Klein will be joining as a Research Director in Aberdeen's Data Management research practice. And as many of you know. Sudy Bharadwaj (formerly of i2 and Mindflow) will continue to drive much of the firm's Supply Management research practice. You can download Sudy's recently published Direct Materials Sourcing benchmark report by clicking here. I'm planning to dig into this piece of research in more detail on Spend Matters next week.
