According to the European Leaders Network, AMT-Sybex has purchased Marrakech, one of the European Spend Management pioneers that was founded back in the early B2B days. Unfortunately, it looks like we can put this one in the undisclosed-sum "asset purchase" category. In other words, it's not a big or material deal for the overall sector. In addition, the above-linked article notes that "AMT-Sybex already owned a €4.1 million stake in the dotcom survivor, which was set up in 1998 and has a customer base including well-known retail brands and government agencies." Still, this deal marks a continued march down a Spend Management path with fewer technology players and broader, rolled-up solutions -- both across the pond and in North America.
