It's simple: "Today’s top supply risk is recruiting and keeping top talent," according to Aberdeen's study. Tim later opines: "The point: this is not your father’s supply management function. Pressures from globalization, outsourcing, and technology require new skills that most veteran procurement managers lack." I could not agree more with the pressing need to identify and retain new types of talent.
