I don't know about you, but I spend too much time in the middle seats in backs of airplanes flying from coast to coast to participate in and attend various events throughout the year (alas, bloggers don't travel first class). And most of those which I attend, unfortunately, disappoint in one way or another (which I think is because of the challenging nature of pulling off events where novices and experts alike can share and learn). This year, I'm planning on speaking at and attending a handful of events including IACCM's spring event in Arizona, taking place in April. While I've never been to an IACCM event in the past, I've heard excellent things about them through the grapevine and I'm very much looking forward to participating in this year's main Americas conference. But there are literally hundreds of other events this year to consider going to. Over on Sourcing Innovation, Michael Lamoureux has done a commendable job indexing as many 2008 conferences as he's been able to find. If you're debating attending or participating in conferences this year, it's a great place to familiarize with what is out there.
