It's been a busy couple of weeks recruiting many of the best voices I know into the Spend Matters community. This afternoon, I'm very excited to announce that Paul Noel, formerly of Ariba, will be joining the expanded Spend Matters team of contributing authors. I've known Paul for years and have always appreciated his comments and thoughts about the blog (I'm sworn to secrecy about providing his commenting codename(s)). Paul brings particular expertise in the areas of spend analysis, supplier information and risk management and global manufacturing. At Ariba, he launched a range of initiatives, including the original Ariba On Demand spend analysis offering. Paul likes to bill himself as The Middleman -- someone who sits at the juncture of buying and selling -- a role he's comfortable in given his long practice as both a buyer and seller of technology, goods and services. I'm looking forward to Paul's contributions on Spend Matters as he shares his wit and domain knowledge -- not to mention his voice of experience. Some people say the middleman just marks things up. I say the middleman can be an invaluable bridge to understanding both sides of the Spend Management equation. Please join me in welcoming Paul to the Spend Matters contributing authors community. And check back later today for his first post.
