US (or global -- location flexible):
Lead Analyst -- the Lead Analyst will work closely with Spend Matters and MetalMiner to cover the latest in sourcing, supplier management, services procurement, commodity management, P2P and related technologies/innovations (as well as the service and BPO provider ecosystems). Focused primarily on research and analysis (and much less on blogging), the ideal candidate should not be worried about having to write 2,500 to 5,000 words in active voice day-in and day-out (though if you don't know what the active voice is or how to write in it, the job is probably not the best fit).
Rather, the right person will not require any on-the-job training when it comes to learning about technologies in the procurement and related supply chain areas. The candidate should be highly productive and analytical. This is most likely a full-time role, but we will consider a part time (at least 70%) candidate. We don't care about your academic or professional background (or years of experience) provided you bring the right tools to the table, though given the combination of skill sets we're looking for, it is likely the best suited candidates will have excelled in both academic and professional settings. The start date for this position will be 15 March or April 1. Please let us know why you're right for the job and send resume and research, writing or deliverable samples to Jason Busch: jbusch (at) azulpartners (dot) com.
Global -- (location flexible):
Business Writer -- We are looking to add a part-time business writer (contract or employee) to the team. This also has the potential to be a full-time role for the right candidate who desires such a role (potentially from the start). The business writer will focus on repurposing existing research and related materials into new byline articles, newsletter content, etc. The role may also involve additional reporting responsibilities. Candidates should feel comfortable with basic technology terms and systems and how companies use general business applications today (e.g., ERP, supply chain systems, etc.) Start date is flexible, based on the right candidate. Please send an e-mail and writing samples to Taras Berezowsky: tberezowsky (at) aptiumglobal (dot) com.

Healthcare Editor/General Manager -- Spend Matters currently publishes three sites. We plan to make this five by year's end, and Healthcare is the next vertical we plan to tackle. We are open to either pursuing a JV (equity split in a new venture) or hiring the right full-time person to pursue this opportunity depending on the skills and seniority of the individual we join forces with. Our plan is to do for healthcare procurement and supply chain coverage what MetalMiner has done for metals. In other words, we want to create an invaluable resource on healthcare procurement and cost reduction for practitioners, consultants and policy makers. The ideal candidate should bring a passion for healthcare sourcing and procurement issues, a very strong network in the IDN, GPO and RPC communities, hard-nosed analytical skills to make a difference in covering this market compared with all past efforts, experience in building and managing a business or P&L, outstanding writing capabilities and social graces that combine soft hands with an unpredictable, yet expert edge. If this is of interest, please send me an email suggesting why you'd like to join forces with us in this area to start the conversation: jbusch (at) azulpartners (dot) com. We plan to launch the site before summer based entirely on finding the right partner to do it with.
