Developing a shortlist of providers for e-invoicing consideration is no simple endeavor. There are multiple philosophies when it comes to e-invoicing enablement and supplier connectivity. And increasingly, there are new and diverse types of e-invoicing-based capabilities as well, ones that can link accounts payable more deeply (and strategically) into the procurement, treasury, internal audit/risk management supply chain/operations, IT, and even HR functions. Given this backdrop, before jumping to select a particular class or type of e-invoicing solution, it is important to consider a range of elements that may affect a particular shortlist, selection, deployment and ultimate management approach for e-invoicing.
