Samsung’s Supplier Labor Violations Continue, GM’s Compensation Plan, California Legalizes Bitcoin

Samsung revealed that its Chinese suppliers have continued to commit labor violations that the technology company had vowed to eliminate by the end of 2012.

General Motors has announced a compensation plan to victims of accidents involving one of 2.6 million cars recalled by GM due to their faulty ignition switches. The compensation checks will range from $20,000 to several million dollars.

The Supreme Court ruled 5 to 4 that requiring family-owned corporations to pay for insurance coverage for contraception is a violation of religious freedom.

California’s governor Jerry Brown signed a bill legalizing digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Starbucks Stars.
