Businesses are increasing spending on employee travel this year. A new report shows companies spent $72.8 billion on work-related travel in the second quarter of 2014 - up more than 7 percent compared to the same three-month period last year.
Consumer spending, however, dipped in September, according to a new Gallup poll. Though, the decline is not unusual for this time of year.
That dip in spending won’t last for long - this holiday season is expected to draw in the highest rate of spend in the last three years.
Another report shows what exactly teenagers spend their money on. Clothes and food top the list - both accounting for around 20 percent of the age-groups spending.
