Apple’s Supply Chain Gears Up for Watch Release, Hasbro Looks to Buy DreamWorks

Apple’s overseas suppliers are reportedly beginning production on the chips for the Apple Watch, which is expected to be released at the start of next year. Chip orders for the device are estimated at 30-40 million units.

Toy company Hasbro is in “advanced talks” to buy DreamWorks Animation - the studio famous for films like Shrek and Madagascar. 

In other M&A news, Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway will be the new owner of the Duracell business. Berkshire Hathaway purchased the company from Proctor and Gamble.

A new Gartner report shows governments in the Middle East and North Africa will spend $12.2 billion this year on IT products and services - up 1.3% from 2013.
