Majority of States See Gasoline Below $2 a Gallon, Mexican Truckers Granted Wider Reach in US

Twenty-eight states now have gasoline prices under $2 a gallon. The US national average price for regular-grade gasoline has reached $2.05 a gallon.

The US Department of Transportation will allow Mexican trucking firms to operate in the US. Previously, Mexican trucking companies could only travel 20 miles into the US.

Samsung Electronics denied it is trying to acquire Blackberry. While Samsung is interested in increasing its use of Blackberry technology, it does not plan to buy the Canadian handset maker.

Japan companies are looking to increase domestic manufacturing activity, producing more products at home instead of overseas. The sharp drop of the yen is proving to be encouraging to business leaders.
