E2open had been looking for a buyer due to diminishing earnings. A proposed Senate bill would make it mandatory for companies to remove unsafe meat and poultry from the supply chain. If passed, the Meat and Poultry Recall Notification Act would give the US Department of Agriculture authority to issue a mandatory recall – instead of only being able to “recommend” a recall.
