At Los Angeles, imports were up 6.3% from August 2014 and in Long Beach, 19.1% more imports came into the port. Airbus opened its first US factory today in Mobile, Alabama. The factory sits on 116 acres and is able to produce up to 8 A320 family jetliners a month. Apple expects to receive more than 10 million pre-orders for the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. The pre-orders began this past weekend and the phones will be available in stores for purchase on Sept. 25 Perhaps not surprisingly, China’s factory output in August missed forecasts, rising 6.1%.
