The news could be problematic for the economy, especially since sales slid 0.6% during August, as well, which represents the largest drop since January. A third of all containers moving through the Port of Long Beach in September were empty. In all, the port handled 197,076 outbound empty containers, a sign of the negative impact the economic slowdown in China is having on the US. Uber has released its UberRUSH delivery service in three new cities: Chicago, New York and San Francisco. UberRUSH was first launched in New York City in April as a pilot program. Speaking of Uber, a 23-year-old man in Maryland recently tried to use an Uber ride as a getaway car after he allegedly robbed a convenience store. The driver of the Uber was later released by police after they determined he had nothing to do with the alleged robbery.
