But that has led to a supply problem. The New York Times reported craft breweries, specifically the smaller ones, as well as can distributors are experiencing a can shortage. Chipotle reportedly is planning to use fewer locally sourced ingredients to improve food safety and minimize the likelihood of another disease outbreak such as the string of E-coli cases being linked to the fast food restaurant chain. Markit’s US manufacturing PMI fell to 51.3 this month, down from the 52.8 in November and a larger drop than what was expected. It is also the weakest reading since October 2012.
