Nipendo is one of our 50 Providers to Watch. We will be highlighting 100 companies (50 to Know, 50 to Watch) from our 2015 Spend Matters Almanac over the span of 100 days. Practitioners are encouraged to browse the categories listed in our Almanac to find the provider that best fits their needs.
Some believe that the world of supplier networks and electronic data interchange (EDI) is about to get disrupted in a major way as new technologies transform the art of the connectivity possible. Nipendo would argue it already has. Although Nipendo is, to be candid, somewhat atrocious in the marketing area, its technology and client references, are the opposite — truly exceptional and not like anything we’ve seen. For this combination of reasons, it makes us even more excited to call attention to Nipendo as a vendor on the Spend Matters 50/50 list.
Nipendo does away with transactional convention. As we’ve explained before, it uses a “machine-to-machine integration [model] across all supplier types/sizes [to serve as a] centerpiece of its platform-based connectivity approach … Nipendo's ability to capture, persist, and link data allows customers to build greater visibility into purchasing, accounts payable and supplier management activities and potential risks as a result.”
This is not pie in the sky marketing hyperbole. As we’ve observed, rerference customers, “including one of the biggest regional, non-government healthcare providers and the largest global semiconductor provider, have substantiated claims about the type and depth of connectivity that Nipendo enables through its platform approach.”
As a next-generation EDI and supplier network provider, Nipendo is unique in how it supports procure to pay, order to cash and supply chain visibility. For what it’s worth, as tech geeks, we believe it’s also the most important technology start-up to come out of Israel — a true hotbed of tech innovation — within the procurement, finance and supply chain areas.
Please join us in welcoming Nipendo to our 2015 Spend Matters 50/50 list. We hope this inclusion will play at least a small role in encouraging procurement, accounts payable and IT organizations to look under the covers and peel back the next-generation EDI, supplier network and transactional connectivity onion. In other words: Ignore the marketing (or lack of it) and head straight into the product weeds.
We promise: You won’t be disappointed.
