The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said its marine freight terminals would be closed today for snow removal. Tesla is suing auto supplier Hoerbiger Automotive Comfort Systems LLC saying the supplier could not deliver the actuators needed for Tesla car doors. Hoerbiger, however, has responded to the lawsuit saying it met requirements of its agreement with Tesla and was prepared to begin “high-volume production” before Tesla canceled its contract. Another auto supplier Bosch announced today it created a gas pedal that could help drivers reduce fuel usage up to 7%. The pedal can provide “haptic feedback” and vibration, telling the driver they are speeding or pressing too hard on the gas. Amazon plans to invest more in its European fulfillment network this year. Amazon added 10,000 new jobs in 2015 and plans to create “several thousand more” jobs in 2016.
