The beverage company is encouraging small retailers to use a mobile app in sending order requests to local distributors, who bid on the deal – and then gig workers are enlisted to help with delivery. As Alan Boehme, Coca-Cola’s chief innovation officer for global IT, put it, “In the white spaces in the ecosystem between partners, bottling facilities and consumers, there’s an opportunity for disruption.” Vodafone + Old St Labs Supplier collaboration platform Old St Labs is partnering with global telecommunications company Vodafone to improve collaboration and innovation in Vodafone’s supply chain. The latter is using Vizibl, a supplier collaboration tool developed by Old St Labs, in driving supplier innovation with strategic and new suppliers. Car-tels Reuters reports that the European Union has fined six major car part suppliers, including Germany’s Mahle Behr and Japan’s Denso, a total of 155 million euros ($163.6 million) for operating cartels in their markets. More Partnership News Cloud-based spend management provider Coupa Software has signed a partnership agreement with the Netherlands-based Solmate Group to expand the former’s value-as-aservice offering in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
