As this year’s historic hurricane season marches forward, the Caribbean is bracing for another blow, this time from Hurricane Maria. As the BBC reports, Dominica has already suffered “widespread damage” from the cyclone, which strengthened to a Category 5 storm Monday before making landfall. Maria is following a path similar to Irma, and governments in the region are concerned another direct hit so soon could set back relief efforts considerably.

Ford in India

Ford announced Monday it is forming a three-year partnership with Mahindra & Mahindra to “explore potential areas of collaboration on new technologies and retail sales,” the Wall Street Journal reports. "Shiftgig allows me to extend this mission to a broader base of the workforce — the gig and hourly worker. The natural synergy is not only in the missions of both companies, but the focus on positively impacting businesses and changing the talent landscape. I look forward to driving real impact for this segment of the workforce."
