100 procurement jobs on Spend Matters search4procurement.com

Our lovely new procurement jobs website, Spend Matters search4 procurement is now one month old and we've hit the 100 jobs advertised mark! A sincere thank you to our original recruitment friends at GPA, Langley Search and Selection, Lorien, and 1st Executive, and welcome to recent additions Beaumont Select, Berwick Partners and Carlisle Managed Solutions.

We're also delighted to see the London Universities Purchasing Consortium - a very progressive and successful organization – advertising for a Senior Contracts Manager at around £45K. We welcome opportunities being advertised directly by organizations like this, as well as through recruitment specialists.

Let’s start with an opportunity for a Category Manager to work with nine West London Councils in a very interesting shared procurement services venture - £60K and a chance to make your mark in collaborative public sector procurement. It’s the future, you know…

Now here’s an interesting one – more and more procurement people are working in consulting and outsourcing environments, and here’s a senior level role in Procurement Consultancy, London, £70-80K plus benefits. Brush up your four box matrices pre-interview…

Another public sector collaboration that we’ve featured on the blog previously is between Surrey and East Sussex – they’re  looking for a Category Manager in Corporate Services based in the Sussex (Lewes) office – similar £60K salary again. I know from personal experience it is a really top class team here.

Just to demonstrate that we have a. interim as well as permanent jobs and b. it’s not just the South East of England, here’s an interim IT sourcing role in Sheffield, Financial Services sector, 6 months at around £300 a day....

In fact, getting even more exotic, how about a European Category Manager, FMCG, with a salary of £60-65K and really good benefits? And an interesting choice of location – Liverpool or Belgium. Tough one, but I’d go for Liverpool, a truly great city…

In Hertfordshire we have a Purchasing and Logistics Manager required by a network service provider, at £50K plus car allowance and benefits, managing a small team across the whole range of supply chain activities.

Another direct advertiser is the Department of Health – my goodness, there are some fascinating procurement jobs in that sector at the moment! Another location choice – Leeds or London – for a Strategic Commercial Manager, £60-70K (sounds like a G6 in my civil service terminology). No shortage of work there, I suspect….

So that’s just a small sample – there is a really good range of jobs at all levels, public and private sector, temp and perm, so do take a look now or over the weekend.
