Spend Matters 50 To Know — SpendHQ

Following the launch of the Spend Matters 50 to Know and 50 to Watch list, our US site and our colleagues are running through all the providers to give the reasoning behind their inclusion. These are brilliant short summaries of each company’s offerings, and will be of great value for many readers. We are adding our comments about the firms; for some we may have little to add, but for others we can offer further value and insight. We will then give you the link to the US post for you to read in full if you wish.

In the case of today's firm, SpendHQ, I'm afraid we don't have much to add from a European perspective. That's based on our (limited) personal knowledge, but according to the SpendHQ website, there is a European offering:

"Our joint venture partner, Kerkhoff Consulting, is our exclusive reseller of SpendHQ in much of Europe and Asia. Based in Dusseldorf, Germany, Kerkhoff Consulting is one of the leading sourcing and procurement consulting firms in Europe with ten offices around the world".

Confession number two - we haven't come across Kerkhoff in the UK, but they may be very well known in some other countries. Another one to add to our list of "firms we should get to know"! However, the spend anlaytics market is at least as competitive in Europe as in the USA, we'd suggest, so there are many good firms fighting for market share here.

Our US site had this to say about the firm:

SpendHQ is a software division of Insight Sourcing Group.

"Having been developed entirely by practitioners, the tool is exceedingly procurement and sourcing savvy in what it does, how it slices and dices the data, and serves up reports and dashboards. The tool doesn’t fall short from an IT perspective ... Price-wise you can expect substantial discounts per data cleanse as you increase the frequency."

"We think anyone at the business unit level should take a look at the tool. It’s a quick path to identifying savings opportunities, and SpendHQ (coupled with their consultants at the sister company Insight Sourcing Group, if needed) can guide you along the way. It’s important for those starting out in the area of more sophisticated spend analysis and useful for the big corporate users."
