Spend Matters 50/50: BravoSolution – A Provider To Know in 2015

100 companies - 100 days

We announced here and here our two (not ranked) lists: Spend Matters 50 To Know and 50 To Watch firms for 2015/2016. In the first case, this is our view of the 50 solution provider type organisations in the procurement industry that every senior procurement leader should be aware of and understand. The 50 To Watch are the up-and-coming firms  - those with interesting and relatively new solutions for our market. The 50 To Know are the key organisations in our industry that procurement executives need to have on their radar.

Having announced the lists, our US colleagues are now featuring each of the 100 firms in turn with an article giving an overview of each, with some headline Spend Matters thoughts on them. So on this site we will be giving you a brief extract of the US article, plus adding our own comments where we have anything useful to add from a European perspective. Sometimes we do, sometimes we don’t!

Here is what our US colleagues had to say about BravoSolution.

BravoSolution is one of few providers that has excelled in both the private and public sectors and in Europe and the US. It is one of the most customer-centric vendors operating in the procurement sector today and brings particular depth across spend analysis, sourcing (both for basic and advanced approaches) and supplier performance management/supplier management solution areas. Its industry expertise in healthcare, manufacturing and, of course, the public sector, among other verticals, is refreshing and creates another source of value for customers operating within the company.

So what can we add?

BravoSolution is, of course, well known to any regular readers and to most procurement folk around Europe. It is still an Italian-owned firm, although one of the reasons for its success is the way it has built strong presence in many countries, with a feeling of local ownership and focus. As well as Italy, the firm is strong in the UK, Germany, France, Benelux and is developing its Nordic operation too. We have also covered its Tejari joint-venture in the United Arab Emirates which has been very successful, and the firm is also active and growing in Australasia.

Strong products and an effective “customer intimate” and service-focused strategy has led to its success. Its recent partnership with Basware, which add the P2P element to the BravoSolution sourcing, analytics and contract management offerings, brings a further dimension to the business, perhaps most strongly in Europe.
