Twenty Twelve on top form

We've mentioned before our deep love for Twenty Twelve, the BBC comedy programme set in the offices of the "Olympic Deliverance Commission". It includes our procurement hero, Nick "I won't allow it" Jowett, the Contracts Director, played by Vincent Franklin.

Last week was the last of the short series, although there are two more programmes to come in the summer - just before or during the real Olympics I guess.  Jowett had a few good lines last week, and all in all it was the funniest of this series by some way. So if you haven't seen it, do check it out on the BBC iPlayer here.

At one point, a map of the UK showing the route of the Olympic torch relay is shown to the senior team. The Chief Exec stares at it.

"So it starts at Land's End, goes straight to Bournmouth, then basically it just seems to go round and round Surrey until the Games start"?

"Well, yeah, apart from Stoke on Trent"....

Just genius. Then we had the wrapping of Anish Kapoor's Orbit Tower with - well, was it a condom? Or something else? You'll have to watch to find out.  But all in all, one of the funniest half hours on the TV for a long time.

There are three more episodes. Not Two! What kind of a procurement professional are you? That’s a calculation which is out by 50% and the task was only counting up to the number 3. No wonder we’re in double dip.
