AMR Issues Updated Numbers

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a blog about how AMR Research was doing "further due diligence" on the revenue numbers for some of the private companies in its report: The Procurement and Sourcing Applications Report, 2004-2009. Today, AMR released an updated version of the study which can be found here (subscription required). While some of the revenue numbers still appear high for a handful of the private companies, AMR has significantly revised downward some of the estimates and forecasts for a couple of vendors cited in the report. While we will never know the true numbers for vendors that exaggerate -- or will not disclose -- this data, we should all applaud AMR's willingness to arrive at a more accurate estimate of private company revenue numbers.
