Catching up with Rearden Commerce

I stopped by Rearden Commerce's headquarters in San Mateo earlier in the week on a whirlwind 36 hour trip to the Monsoon-plagued San Francisco Bay Area. I was pleasantly surprised to see that a number of my old FreeMarkets colleagues (the A-Team of the west coast sales organization) have found a new home at the vendor. In the coming weeks, we'll be digging into Rearden from multiple perspectives at Spend Matters (including bringing a contrarian voice into the discussion). As long-time Spend Matters readers know, I think Rearden has the chance to transform the services procurement landscape, becoming the Hertz of Spend Management (in other words, a provider that executives will insist that an organization has because it simplifies their complex lives).
