Writing from the still hot East Coast, AMR's Mickey North Rizza offers a good take on the recent Procuri and cc-hubwoo deal (free -- no registration required -- for now). In her write up, she gets into many of the details that I glossed over in yesterday's post on the deal. According to AMR, the partnership "brings 12,000 suppliers to the 350 Procuri" customers. And "at least one-quarter of the 350 customers can immediately use the network for their European business". Regarding the future of the market and overall share and growth, Mickey refers to a "recent AMR Research study of the supply management market [which] found Ariba held 48% of the market while ePlus, Procuri, Emptoris, and Perfect Commerce held single-digits in the on-demand market. However, SAP's recent acquisition of Frictionless Commerce, Emptoris' merger with diCarta, and now the partnership of Procuri and cc-hubwoo opens the field for the 2006 market share leader."
