A Gift for Your Favorite Supplier This Holiday Season

If you're in the habit of sending your best suppliers a gift this holiday season, why not go for something that they can't get at the corner store? If you're game to try something new, a recent AP dispatch offers a suggestion that may be just the ticket. According to wire story, if you're "stumped about what to give that special someone this Christmas? How about some rhino poop ... The International Rhino Foundation is auctioning on eBay four pieces of dung from the endangered species and will use the proceeds to fund conservation efforts ... Each piece is dried, mounted in a clear trophy case and marked with the type of rhino that produced it." I can think of numerous reasons to send such a gift to a less than cherished supplier, but if spun properly, you might be able to give this exotic gift with a straight face, positioning your green, earth-friendly credentials and overall generosity and creativity. Hey, it's worth a try. And anything is better than another one of those gift baskets filled with crackers and "cheese product". Hat-tip: Amy Edwards
