Is Boeing Facing Additional Supply Delays With the 787 Program?

Metal Miner’s Lisa Reisman tipped me off to this story in Crain’s Chicago citing an aviation blog that Boeing is going to announce early Wednesday that it will miss its production schedule for the 787 thanks, in part, to additional supplier related issues. According to Crain's, "While some progress has been made since a change of management in the 787 program last year, parts shortages and slow deliveries of major components from Boeing's international supply chain continue to be a problem." Look for further commentary on this development from Spend Matters tomorrow.
