I like this headline.

Command and supply. -- The way companies source, manufacture and distribute products has come under unprecedented pressure in recent years. Rapid swings in the availability and price of key commodities, major currency fluctuations, upheaval in financial markets and disruptive geopolitical events have created significant challenges for supply chains. Traditional supply chain practices are inadequate in today's highly competitive and volatile world – they need to be dynamic, as well as able to adjust rapidly and cost effectively to fast-changing market conditions.

When (effective!) spend management/cost cutting leads to false implications...

Analysis: Spend data management – avoiding PR disaster -- It really should come as no surprise that a sensible Yorkshireman would share a hotel bedroom with a colleague, while on a business trip. It is effective use of budget and resources in tough times. Money can be saved and strategy and planning sessions can run into the night. For one Yorkshireman, the UK's Foreign Secretary William Hague, it has also been a PR nightmare. The decision of sharing a twin hotel room with a junior aide has led to embarrassment and the resignation of the aide.
