Retailers Sign Worker Safety Deal, Yum Brands Increases Supplier Oversight, Microsoft to Use Hubwoo

Seventeen North American retailers, including Wal-Mart and Gap, have signed a five-year deal to improve worker safety in Bangladesh.

Yum Brands, the biggest foreign restaurateur in China, announced that it plans to increase oversight of its supply chain. The company has already dropped more than 1,000 small producers used by its 25 poultry suppliers.

Microsoft has picked Hubwoo's The Business Network for catalog management to improve spend compliance.

Love it or hate it, Yelp is expanding into food delivery, and soon you may be able to make spa, salon and dentist appointments on the popular review site as well.
