US to Become Largest Oil Producer, New Beers Latest Shutdown Casualty, JP Morgan’s Staggering Legal Costs

The U.S. is expected to overtake Russia next year as the world’s largest oil producer.

Here’s another government shutdown casualty. As new beers sold across state lines must be approved by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, all pending new labels are on hold.

J.P. Morgan reported a loss during the third quarter, in large part due to legal expenses of $9.15 billion.
