UK Gov’t Examining Late Supplier Payments, Apple Hires Burberry CEO, Business Travel Increasing

UK Prime Minister David Cameron announced that the government will consider fining businesses that do not pay suppliers on time.

Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts will join Apple, Inc. next year to head the company’s retail efforts.

According to a new forecast from the Global Business Travel Association, spending by U.S. businesses on travel is expected to increase 7.2% next year, to $288.8 billion, though these projected figures could be weakened by the government shutdown.

A San Francisco Costco has recalled nearly 40,000 pounds of rotisserie chicken and chicken products that may be contaminated with Salmonella.
