Business Tech Spending Steady But Slow, Turkey’s New Underwater Rail Connects Europe and Asia

Demand for cloud computing services continues to grow, but otherwise business technology spending is slow.

The rollout of Obamacare is leading to hundreds of thousands of health insurance plan cancellations, as oft-cheaper plans that do not offer benefits like prescription drug coverage and free preventive care cannot be sold after this year.

U.S. consumer confidence declined in October by the most since August 2011, in part due to the recent government budget impasse.
