Zycus’s Guided Buying: Quantifying P2P Process Steps and Developing a Better Buying Path for Users [Plus+]

At Zycus Horizon last month, Richard Waugh, VP of Corporate Development for the fast growing source-to-pay provider, offered up a “back to the future” moment when he channeled a lot of the thought Pierre Mitchell has given over the years to the concept of “Guided Buying,” in describing the unique manner in which Zycus is targeting its eProcurement capabilities. Where this concept leaves Zycus today and how a procurement suite vendor with much deeper capability in the areas of spend analytics, master data management, sourcing, contract management, and performance/risk management could potentially upset the Ariba/SAP, Oracle and Coupa P2P apple cart – or at least how it can cause competitors to alter course materially – is fascinating indeed.
