MasterCard, Visa Form Group to Improve Card Security, L.L. Bean Plans $100M in Spending

MasterCard and Visa are forming a cross-industry group to speed up the adoption of technology that will improve credit- and debit-card security.

Gazprom is threatening to cut off gas supplies to Ukraine after February deliveries were not paid for. Shipments to Europe will continue.

Following a year of record profits and four ears of revenue growth, L.L. Bean plans $100 million in spending on its website, retail expansion, and business systems.

India, the world’s biggest arms importer, is starting to buy local. Currently, orders from India account for almost a third of Russia’s total arms exports.
