FedEx Indicted for Shipping Drugs, Buckyballs Recall, What Does “Made in the USA” Mean?

FedEx has been indicted by the U.S. Department of Justice for delivering drugs for illegal online pharmacies, for which the shipping company could pay a fine of more than $1.6 billion. FedEx denies the charges.

“Made in the USA” doesn’t quite mean made in the USA yet.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has ordered a formal recall of Buckyballs, a highly magnetic toy made of rare-earth metals that pose an ingestion hazard to children.

Amazon is introducing a digital subscription service for its Kindle that would allow consumers to download unlimited e-books and audiobooks for $9.99 a month. Alas, the library is still cheaper.
