Slavery in UK Businesses’ Supply Chains, Chinese Supplier Sold Expired Meat to McDonald’s

In a recent survey by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, nearly three-quarters of supply chain professionals have “zero visibility” on the earlier stages of their supply chains, with 11 percent noting that slave labor was “likely” used.

McDonald’s and Yum Brands have stopped buying meat products from a Chinese supplier that allegedly sold chicken and beef past their expiration date.
