Deem Raises $50M in Funding Round, Shanghai Husi Food Faced Claims of Unethical Work Practices

Shanghai Husi Food, the U.S.-owned Chinese food supplier in the midst of an expired meat scandal, had faced claims last year over unethical work practices. The supplier won the court case.

Meanwhile, McDonald’s has suspended sales of chicken nuggets in Hong Kong.

Cloud and mobile commerce company Deem has raised $50 million in its latest funding round. The funds will go towards network growth, global expansion, and acquisitions.

Amazon posted a second-quarter loss of $126 million, more than double what was predicted.
