Supervalu Hit by Data Breach, Coca-Cola Buys Stake in Monster Beverage, Nordstrom to Buy Trunk Club

Supervalu, Acme, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, and other grocery and liquor stores around the country have been hit by a data breach that appears to have taken place between June 22 and July 17.

Coca-Cola announced that it has acquired a 16.7-percent stake in Monster Beverage, the largest energy drink company in the U.S., for $2.15 billion.

Nordstrom will buy Chicago-based menswear service Trunk Club for $350 million in stock.

A current drought in Spain, the world’s top producer of olive oil, may lead to a crop down 40 percent from 2013.
