Apple Supplier Accused of Worker Rights Violations, McDonald’s Workers Arrested During Wage Hike Protests

Apple is being accused of working with a Chinese supplier that reportedly violated labor rights and workplace safety laws. The supplier makes metal casings for Apple’s iPads.

Groups of McDonald’s workers were arrested this morning while protesting in New York City and in Detroit. The workers were holding sit-ins to advocate for a wage hike to $15 an hour.

Good news for Boeing was reported today. The airplane maker predicts it will deliver more than 6,000 new planes to China between now and 2033.

MasterCard and Basware, the Finnish software company, have created a new supply chain solution called Basware Pay, which will connect buyers’ and suppliers’ payment processes.
