China Suppliers, Spare Car Parts Makers Scrutinized, Apple iPhone Release Expected Today

Issues with a supplier in Asia are contributing to a decline in global sales for McDonald’s Corp. The fast food company said sales declined 3.7 percent in August.

European car part suppliers recently announced their support for China applying its antimonopoly law to dampen automakers’ stronghold on spare parts sales.

Apple is expected to release its new iPhone this afternoon, which is anticipated to have a larger screen than previous devices. The tech giant is also expected to debut its wearable device nicknamed the iWatch.

The American Petroleum Institute gave kudos to the “tight” oil industry supply chain made of nearly 30,000 business that provide equipment and services to oil and gas producers and help provide fuel for the United States.
