Discussions between EMC and HP Stop, Apple Breaks Sales Record This Weekend

Merger discussions between computer storage company EMC Corporation and Hewlett-Packard have reportedly stopped, an insider said recently. Financial terms were cited as one reason for the talks coming to a halt.

Apple broke another sales record selling more than 10 million of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus over the weekend.

RadioShack said it failed to persuade a major supplier (the name of which was not disclosed) to help the ailing electronics retailer get its finances back on track. RadioShack was reportedly trying to alter terms with the undisclosed supplier.

General Motors Co has recalled 221,558 2013-15 Cadillac XTS and 2014-15 Chevrolet Impala cars due to a parking brake defect that could cause a fire.
