US Automakers Recall Cars, Apple Releases Another New Product

Auto recalls have made headlines in the last 24 hours. For example, Chrysler recalled more than 2008 model year 349,000 cars and SUVS due to defective ignition switches, which could lead to the vehicles shutting down while driving.

Ford, too, issued a recall including about 850,000 cars and SUVS. The affected vehicles had faulty airbags that may not deploy in the event of a crash.

Apple’s has released HealthKit – a new software collects data from health and fitness apps. The tech giant said the new application allows different personal health apps to communicate and it shares data with hospitals and doctors, providing a more thorough picture of a patient’s state of health.

A number of companies are already testing drones to deliver goods to customers. However, the Federal Aviation Administration recently gave the green light to six film companies to use the unmanned aircrafts to shoot movies.
