AbbVie Pulls Back on Shire Deal, Japan Creates Commercial Planes, CBS Jumps on Streaming Service Bandwagon

Chicago-based drugmaker AbbVie is pulling away from its proposed acquisition of Shire. AbbVie is asking shareholders to vote against the $55 billion takeover of the Irish pharmaceutical company.

Japan’s Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp. is reportedly working on constructing the country’s first commercial airliner in more than 50 years.

A day after HBO announced it would offer a standalone streaming service, CBS launched its “All Access” digital subscription video-on-demand and live streaming service on Thursday.

Nike is looking to get Chuck Taylor look-alike sneakers off the market. The now owner of the popular Converse sneaker is suing other companies such as Walmart and Skechers for trademark infringement for creating similar shoe designs.
