US Manufacturing’s Comeback, AMC Buys Stake in BBC America, Halloween Holiday Sales Strong

A new survey shows many US manufacturing companies are bringing back production operations from China. The US is now the most likely place for companies to build new manufacturing plants, and executives expect nearly half of their global manufacturing capacity will be located domestically within 5 years, the survey also showed.

AMC will acquire a nearly 50 percent stake in BBC America, and take over operation, including manage advertising sales, of the company’s US service.

Halloween is a week away, and a new study shows US households will spend an average of $125 on candy, costumes, decorations and other holiday-related items this year.

Apple Inc.’s iTunes global music sales have dropped about 14 percent since the beginning of 2014. More people are reportedly streaming music over the web instead of purchasing it.
