Facebook Boosts Business Spending, Mexican Mineral Water Heads to US

Facebook announced it will step up its spending in the next few years. CFO David Wehner said Facebook’s costs would increase 75 percent this year as the social media company invests in engineering talent and acquisitions.

Mexican mineral water will make its way to the US. Peñafiel is the most popular selling sparkling mineral water in Mexico, and its owner, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, is bringing the drink to more markets to attract Hispanic consumers in the US.

Shortly after Fiat and Chrysler merged earlier this year, the automaker announced it would spin off its luxury sports car brand Ferrari. Company execs say the separation will preserve the Italian business and ensure its long-term success.

A different automaker, Ford, announced a recall of nearly 205,000 crossover vehicles throughout US and Canada due to a fuel tank defect that could cause a fire.
